NARRATIVE
Choose a topic that interests you and collect 8-10 associated articles. Conceptualize and develop a fictional magazine within the area of interest using only the text and photos found within the articles.
Once my topic was selected, research began with the development of visual language boards. I then focused on curating articles that contain a variety of images, voices, quotes, and structures to develop thematic compositions with careful attention to typesetting.
The result is a large-format print publication
for movie enthusiasts printed on 70lb Dur-O-Tone White Newsprint stock. Artifice & Narrative features short and long-form articles, interviews, and featured full bleed spreads.
