New Connections— Web Inspired Locator & Design Catalogues
It's imperative we create a practice of finding new ways of communicating and connecting. As the world continues to thrive technologically, the analogue forms we were moulded around are becoming obsolete. As new technology spawns, our brains have no other choice but to evolve as well. I believe that as a consequence, a void emerges that we now feel we need to fill. A truly notorious by-product is society's crippling reliance on social media. Empty connections with no rewarding content. In the space of design, we get ghosted by clients, are satisfied with artificial likes, and “communities” lack altruistic spirit. How do we find connection—physically and metaphorically—that make us who we are? That make us better designers, thinkers, and makers? Akmázo is an incubator that creates designers and environments conducive to growth. A space where makers can come learn, teach, develop craft, connect, and influence.
A speculative platform for a design incubator — part locator, part living catalogue. This is a working prototype: open the menu in the bottom-left and move through the web.
